Quote Types
A quote is a formal offer that Equinix sends to their Customers. It is a document that shows the price to the Customer for the product that they are ordering. Furthermore, it outlines general terms and conditions that apply to the product.
The following table shows the supported quote types.
| Quote Type | Description |
|---|---|
| NEW | Used for new space requests. For example, new cabinets, new private cage, new secured cabinet. No changes will be reflected on existing assets in sales order. |
| AMENDMENT | Used for additional product requests to an existing space. For example, network orders, deletions, price changes, cabinet and/or power additions. |
| PAPERWORK | Used for price change on the existing assets without changing the contract terms. |
| REPLACEMENT_RENEWAL | Used to replace the terms and conditions of an existing space. For example, new initial service term for an existing private cage. |
| TERMINATION | Used to terminate a licensed space, billing agreement or customer. |
